I knew I wanted to use the vintage 1913 postcard with the birds on it, which was inside the album when I got it. I even pulled off the 1-cent postage stamp off the back to glue on the front.
I had left over scrapbook paper that didn't make it into a previous book - the paper was already pretty busy with its collage look, so I didn't add a whole lot more to it.
I sewed lace to some muslin and glued that on the spine.
I'll add words to the front cover, and something else to the inside front cover. Overall, I'm loving this book too! I could never pick a favorite of all the books we've been making in the Full Tilt Boogie class.

I LOVE your book! I have the covers finished for my book, but haven't added the frame block, or anything else yet. It really helps to see what others are doing with this book. It's so different from any that I've made before, I'm having a bit of a hard time wrapping my brain around it, and what to do with it once it's finished. Please show more of yours as it progresses! It's fabulous!!
oh, Pat, that postcard is just stunning! How lucky you were to get it with an album! (Did you scan it before putting your book together? It would be wonderful to re-use!) Love the papers you put with it -- you achieved such a romantic vintage look! Hope we'll get to see more of the inside pages.
Ohhh, the birdies are so sweet! You made them the perfect home. Nice job!
This book is just as cool as the others. You are having waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much fun.
I certainly hope the words on the front are "Book of Bird-Brained Ideas" because frankly I think it's GENIUS!
I love your book!
